Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the "Client" or "you") and carriqat (the "Company", "we", "us", or "our") governing your use of our luxury vehicle rental services in Singapore.

By making a booking, signing a rental agreement, or using our services in any manner, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our services.

You confirm that you are at least 25 years of age and possess a valid driving license recognized in Singapore. You further confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.

For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions:

• "Service" refers to the vehicle rental arrangements provided by carriqat
• "Vehicle" means the automobile provided to you under the rental agreement
• "Rental Period" means the time between vehicle pickup and return as specified in your booking
• "Agreement" refers to these Terms & Conditions together with your specific booking confirmation
• "Authorized Driver" means you and any additional drivers approved in writing by carriqat

carriqat provides premium vehicle rental services in Singapore through three main arrangements:

• Day Hire: single-day vehicle rental for business or personal use
• Curated Weekend Escape: two-to-three-day arrangements suitable for extended journeys
• Bespoke Event Presentation: customized vehicle services for special occasions

Each arrangement includes comprehensive insurance coverage, vehicle preparation to our standards, and coordinated pickup and return within Singapore. Specific inclusions vary by service level and are detailed in your booking confirmation.

To arrange a vehicle rental, you must submit a booking request through our website, email, or telephone. A booking becomes confirmed only when you receive written confirmation from carriqat.

Your booking confirmation will specify the vehicle, rental period, pricing, pickup and return locations, and any special arrangements. This confirmation forms part of the binding agreement between you and carriqat.

We recommend booking at minimum 48 hours in advance for standard arrangements. Event services typically require advance notice of two weeks or more to ensure appropriate preparation and coordination.

To drive our vehicles, you must:

• Be at least 25 years of age at the time of rental
• Hold a valid Singapore driving license or international driving permit recognized in Singapore
• Provide your driving license for inspection at vehicle pickup
• Have held a driving license for a minimum of two years
• Not be disqualified from driving or have any current license suspensions

Only authorized drivers listed in the rental agreement may operate the vehicle. You are responsible for ensuring that all drivers meet these requirements and comply with all applicable traffic laws.

All pricing is stated in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and includes comprehensive insurance coverage and standard service features as specified in your booking confirmation. Additional services or requirements may incur extra charges as communicated at the time of booking.

Payment is required in full at the time of booking confirmation unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing. We accept major credit cards and bank transfers. A security deposit may be required depending on the vehicle and rental duration.

If the rental period is extended beyond the agreed duration, additional charges will apply at the daily rate specified in your agreement. Extensions must be approved by carriqat in advance when possible.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. The following cancellation terms apply:

• More than 7 days before rental: full refund of payment
• 3-7 days before rental: 50% of rental fee retained
• Less than 3 days before rental: no refund

For event services, cancellations made less than 14 days before the scheduled date will result in forfeiture of all fees paid, as significant preparation and coordination occur well in advance of the event.

Modifications to existing bookings may be requested but are subject to vehicle availability. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate changes but cannot guarantee availability of specific vehicles or dates.

You agree to use the vehicle in a careful and lawful manner. The following restrictions apply:

• The vehicle must not be used for illegal activities or commercial purposes without prior written approval
• Smoking is prohibited in all vehicles
• Pets are not permitted unless specifically approved in advance
• The vehicle must not be used for racing, off-road driving, or any activities beyond normal road use
• The vehicle must not be subleased or loaned to others
• Cross-border travel requires advance approval and appropriate documentation

Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate termination of the rental, forfeiture of fees, and liability for damages.

All rentals include comprehensive insurance coverage as required by Singapore law. This coverage includes third-party liability protection and vehicle damage coverage subject to the terms of the insurance policy.

The standard insurance includes an excess amount, which is your responsibility in the event of damage or loss. The excess amount will be specified in your rental agreement and varies by vehicle type.

Insurance coverage may be void if the vehicle is driven by an unauthorized driver, used in violation of these terms, or if the driver is under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances.

At pickup, you will have the opportunity to inspect the vehicle and note any existing damage or concerns. Any observations should be documented in writing and acknowledged by both parties before departure.

You are responsible for maintaining the vehicle in good condition during the rental period, including monitoring fluid levels and tire pressure. Any mechanical issues should be reported to us immediately.

At return, the vehicle will be inspected for damage, cleanliness, and fuel level. You are responsible for damage that occurs during your rental period, subject to insurance coverage terms.

Vehicles are provided with a comfortable fuel level. Unless otherwise specified in your agreement, you are responsible for fuel costs during the rental period.

Standard rental agreements include unlimited mileage within Singapore. Cross-border journeys may be subject to mileage limits or additional charges as specified in your booking confirmation.

You are responsible for all traffic violations, parking fines, and other penalties incurred during the rental period. These will be charged to you along with an administrative fee for processing.

You must comply with all applicable traffic laws and regulations in Singapore and any other jurisdictions where the vehicle is operated.

In the event of an accident or damage to the vehicle, you must:

• Contact carriqat immediately at +65 6493 7158
• Obtain a police report if required by Singapore law or insurance terms
• Document the incident with photographs and written details
• Not admit fault or enter into agreements with third parties without our consent
• Cooperate fully with insurance claims and investigations

Failure to comply with these requirements may affect insurance coverage and result in your liability for damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, carriqat's liability is limited to direct damages arising from our breach of this agreement. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages including loss of profits, business interruption, or personal injury not directly caused by our negligence.

Our maximum liability under this agreement shall not exceed the total rental fees paid by you for the specific rental period in question.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law.

You agree to indemnify and hold carriqat harmless from all claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the vehicle, violation of these terms, or breach of applicable laws.

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy available at privacy-policy.html.

Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, or other force majeure events. In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule or provide alternative arrangements when possible.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Terms in effect at the time of your booking will govern that specific rental arrangement.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
